The creator of otterloom
I grew up between two cultures, learning to move between different languages, traditions, and ways of thinking. My parents arrived in a new country with very little, but they brought something priceless with them: creativity, resilience, and heart. They showed me how to care for what we have, how to repair and reimagine, and how even the most ordinary object could be turned into something beautiful with a little love and intention.
From an early age, I was drawn to color and the joy of making something from what already existed. Over time, that love became something more.
This way of living shaped the way I saw the world and eventually, the way I designed it. I stepped into the world of interior design, where I deepened my love for materials, color, and the power of creating spaces that feel like home. But along the way, I began to notice the waste, perfectly good materials discarded and left behind. Later, my path led me into construction, a different world, but one that showed me just how much is wasted in the process of building, and how urgently things need to change.
otterloom is the heart of that vision. It is a reflection of how I was raised, how I think, and how I create. Every piece is handmade from upcycled or leftover materials, chosen for their texture, their color, or simply because they have been overlooked. Nothing here is perfect, and that is the point.
otterloom is about second chances, small transformations, and finding joy in what already exists. Each design tells a story: one of joy, individuality, and the belief that what we choose to create and how we choose to do it truly matters.
